Nicolás Franco is the CEO of Socorro Partners for LATAM and Spain, where he leads the firm’s services across multiple industries. With more than 20 years of experience in advisory services, Nicolás joined Socorro Partners in January 2026 to lead the firm’s expansion and consolidation in the region.

Prior to joining Socorro Partners, Nicolás was a Partner at BDO in Latin America and the United States, where he led and delivered strategic solutions to a wide range of financial organizations, including banks, insurance companies, fintechs, crypto exchanges, neobanks, virtual wallets, and investment funds, among others. Throughout his career, he has advised institutions on complex regulatory, operational, and technological transformation initiatives, combining deep business insight with a practical, results-oriented approach.

He is a recognized leader and a respected public speaker across the Americas region within the Advisory practice and the financial and fintech industries. He has a strong track record in designing innovative solutions and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams. His experience spans risk management, internal audit, BSA/AML, compliance, digital transformation, the creation and transformation of banks and fintechs, Banking as a Service (BaaS), open banking, management consulting, and M&A transactions.

Nicolás holds an MBA from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), with specializations in Digital Transformation, Compliance, and Risk Management, and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). He is a frequent international speaker and educator on financial crime, risk, and digital transformation.
