
Miami, 19 February 2026 - Socorro Partners is pleased to announce that María Eugenia Navarro Hernández has joined the firm’s Advisory practice. María Eugenia is a senior professional with more than 20 years of experience advising financial institutions and regulated entities on compliance frameworks, money laundering prevention, and enterprise risk management.
An attorney by training, María Eugenia holds a master’s degree in risk management from the University of Salamanca. She serves as a professor in various specialized programs throughout the region, contributing to the development of compliance professionals across Latin America.
Her experience spans Argentina, Colombia, Panama, and multiple jurisdictions throughout the region. She has led consulting engagements for the design of ML/TF Risk Management Systems for dozens of banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions, developed AML/CFT programs for banks and fintech companies, and designed and implemented ML/TF risk self-assessment systems in several Latin American countries.
María Eugenia’s background encompasses Latin American regulatory frameworks as well as international best practices established by the Basel Committee, Solvency II, and the FATF.
